“Embrace motherhood.” When I first read those words during my first pregnancy, I was baffled. My life had been shaped by academia and the medical field, and I didn’t marry until I was 30. Up until that point, I believed the most godly path involved pursuing “big” callings, like missions & reaching the unreached. I was a family nurse practitioner, and I was nearly finished with my PhD in nursing. I had aspirations to travel the world and do God’s work—out there.

Motherhood seemed small and restrictive.

In reality, it was my own perspective that was narrow. I didn’t yet understand the profound, generational impact of everyday, joyful faithfulness in the home (Prov. 14:1). Thankfully, the Lord is patient and gracious. As I stepped into motherhood, He began to open my world (and soul) in ways I never expected. He gently taught me to embrace my role at home. He helped me see it as a calling filled with joy, purpose, and kingdom work.

Now, I am the wife of my wonderful husband Jeremy and a stay-at-home mother of five. By God’s grace, I’ve come to see motherhood and homemaking as beautiful, deeply meaningful, and transformative. I’ve also learned that to joyfully embrace this role, and seek to be excellent in it, beautifully shapes our family and the generations to come. This is the vision for motherhood and homemaking that I want to share with you.

What you’ll find here

This blog is a place for women who desire a pleasant, well-ordered home—one that nourishes both body and soul. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by homemaking or simply looking for better rhythms, I’m here to share what I’ve learned along the way.

I focus on three core areas:

  1. Peaceful Homemaking: Simple systems for cleaning, routines, and organization to create a home that runs smoothly (at least as much as possible with littles!).
  2. Natural Health & Healing: Practical wellness, nourishing foods, and high-quality supplements to support your family’s well-being.
  3. Homegrown Learning: Early homeschooling and intentional parenting to cultivate a faith-filled, joyful learning environment.

Though I am a lifelong learner (and do not have all the answers), I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned along the way to help other moms create peacefully productive homes, nurture their families, and find joy in the everyday. I hope to encourage and equip you to embrace the beauty of homemaking with confidence and grace.

I’m so glad you’re here—let’s build a wholesome, joy-filled haven together!
